Screening THE CLEANERS

Short thesis

The documentary THE CLEANERS, which celebrated its premiere at the Sundance Festival in February 2018 and has since been presented at the most important documentary film festivals worldwide, is a journey into a hidden shadow industry in Manila right into the heart of digital censorship - where the internet has to be "cleared" of controversial content. Who controls what we see and what we think?
